How to Use PowerSchool

Students and Parents:

You can check student grades from any computer with internet access! Many parents and students already take advantage of this. Follow these steps to monitor your or your student's progress in all classes.

1. Go to Eastmont Middle School's home page located at the following address: http:www.ems.jordan.k12.ut.us.

2. When the school's page has loaded, look to the strip of word icons beneath the title Eastmont Middle School Patriots: Select PowerSchool. (Or, select this link here to take you directly to the Eastmont Middle School PowerSchool web page from this page.)

3. When the PowerSchool web page has loaded, type in the student's username (your ID or your student's ID) and the student's password (given to the student in his or her TA class) as needed. NOTE: If you or your student does not know your or his or her password, you or your student can obtain it from the student's TA teacher, the front office, or the library staff.

Example:
Username: 8123456
Password: ABCD

Students should be aware that the PowerSchool username and password are not the same as the username and password needed to log on to school computers!
To log on to school computers, if you name is Johnny Depp and your ID number is 8123456, your username would be JDep3456 and your password, not your username, would be 8123456.

4. Once the information has loaded, you or your student can use the icons provided at the top of the screen to access the following information:

a. Grades and Attendance
b. Grades History
c. Attendance History
d. Teacher Comments
e. School Bulletin
f. Class Registration
g. Balance (Money Accounts for the Student)
h. My Calendars

Feel free to ask for help in the library! Students can print school-related items without cost (within reason). We hope to see you soon.

INCENTIVE: Each student who comes into the library on his or her own, starting Monday, December 15, to check his or her grades on PowerSchool and tells a member of the library staff will receive a treat.
